International Photography Festival

From October 24 to 26, 2025, Trieste turns into a stage for photography lovers with Trieste Photo Days, the international festival of contemporary photography. Now in its 12th edition, the event keeps growing bigger and more exciting every year.

The city will host free exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses, portfolio reviews, and talks with renowned photographers like Matt Black from Magnum Photos, Paolo Verzone, and Denis Curti.

The best part? The whole city becomes an open-air gallery. Over 2,000 photos will be on display in museums, historic buildings, and surprising corners around town, giving you a fresh perspective on Trieste. Highlights include URBAN Animals at Sala Veruda, India at the Museum of Oriental Art, and Tales of The City at Sala Comunale d’Arte.

There’s even more: Trieste Photo Fringe, a parallel program featuring emerging photographers from around the world. Fringe exhibitions pop up in bars, cafés, and restaurants, so you can enjoy art even during breakfast, lunch, or happy hour.

At Hotello, we’re proud to join Trieste Photo Fringe 2025. Starting mid-September, our hostel and B.A.R. will host a photography exhibition open to everyone, perfectly matching our urban vibe.
